Responder Technology Privacy Statement

At Responder Technology, we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of visitors to our website and those who use our services. In particular we want you to know that we do not and will not sell, rent or trade email lists or other personal data with other companies and businesses for marketing purposes; we just don't do that sort of thing. In this privacy notice we provide lots of detailed information on when and why we hold your personal information, how it is used to provide our services, the limited conditions under which we may disclose it to others, and how we keep it secure.

We use cookies; these hold your username and organisation name and are designed to make it easier to log in to our websites. They do not hold any other information and we do not pass this to anyone else.

As part of the process that enables your organisation to use our services, we hold personal data. This is in the form of, at least, name and mobile phone number but can also include other phone numbers, email addresses, postal addresses, and other information that may have been collected by your organisation and stored on our system.

Responder Technology provide, automatically, just your mobile phone number to third parties to help provide our service to you on behalf of your organisation. We may use your email address to send you emails on behalf of your organisation. Names or other personal information will only be included in a message if your organisation, using our services, includes that information in the message they send to you.

Users of our app can, if they wish, turn on location tracking. Location information is then available to the user's organisation to assist with planning and co-oordination. Responder Technology consider location information to be personal data and do not pass this data to third parties, nor do we use it for any other purpose without written consent from our customer.

Responder Tecyhnology will also send you information about changes and improvements to our services, or (rarely) warnings about any problems. We consider these a necessary part of our services and so are covered by the "Contract" basis for processing under GDPR. We will, however, provide a method for unsubscribing; use this to let us know you no longer wish to receive this information. Messages sent by your organisation using our services are not affected and will continue. If you no longer wish to receive messages from your organisation please contact your organisation's data controller.

We store personal information at commercial data centers within the European Union; this is protected by industry standard security and the related websites use HTTPS (encrypted transmissions). We also store personal information at our own premesis including backup copies of the data; this is stored in encrypted format and kept in a secure enclosure. Passwords are stored as salted hashes in line with industry best practice.

You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold on behalf of your organisation for their use of our services. To do this please contact the data controller of your organisation. Should you need to contact us about your data then email your request to Mike Hall at GDPR@resp-tech.com
